Westlawn in Bid to Prove a Cut Above

WESTLAWN Tigers take on their southern namesake Coffs Coast Tigers in a round 15 fixture at Polwarth Drive, Coffs Harbour, today.

They may share the same mascot but they won't want to share the points, as both teams will be keen to get the maximum out of this match.

Coffs Coast will still have aspirations to make the top four and Westlawn will be keen to notch up a win to climb off the foot of the ladder.

Westlawn has been knocking at the door recently but can't seem to get the consistency required to take the points.

Too often Westlawn has held strong but has conceded goals at critical moments and has then had to chase the game.

Its two most recent outings have resulted in a 0-all draw against Boambee and then a 4-3 loss to Orara after it was three-nil down after half an hour of play.

Both games showed its fighting character, but coach Robert Usher would rather see his players take more control of the game.
