JEWELLERS shone again to go four points clear in the A Division.

They made 146-6 at home to Alpha Claims with A Shgahid (53) and O Shahid (33) top scoring. In reply T Ramzan made 51 but Alpha fell short finishing on 131-6. Jap Parts UK reached 140-7 at home to Nunthorpe Merlin A with F Hussain contributing an unbeaten 50. When Nunthorpe batted, S Mahmood took 5-33, and despite K Ward's 54, Nunthorpe ended on 116-8. Stockton Specsavers knocked up 100 for 8 when visiting Boro Cars, B Raza (36) top scoring. In reply Cars shuddered to a halt on 67-7.

Global Travel made 93-8 when they entertained Stafford Place, with S Teta (5-22) doing the damage. Stafford Place got a good start in reply with a 48-run opening partnership between C Atkinson and M Nelson before they collapsed to 83-9. In B Division New Marske suffered a set back when, after G Alderson (63no) and R Mains (34) had seen them through to 125-3, On Time Claims openers A.Mahmood (45no) and S Rashid (69no) took the visitors to a 10-wicket win.

Waterloo News visited O'Gradys and their bowlers shared the wickets as they restricted the home side to 85. A Dowson (6-18) ensured a close finish as the visitors scrambled to 86-8. Hemlington SC visited MSVSport and made 79-8 with C Hussain (4-15) pick of the bowlers. R Hussain (39no) and N Ahmed (30no) took MSV to victory on 80-0. Pot & Glass made 73-5 at home to P&P Maintenance. The reply was short lived as J Kean took four wickets in four balls to finish the visitors off for 28 with his own figures being a hugely impressive 9-11 in 4.3 overs.

A second defeat for Rendezvous in as many weeks has blown C Division wide open. Visitors University of Teesside restricted Rendezvous to 93 with A Ali (37) top scoring. G Burton 4-24) and M Burton (4-20) did the damage. J Holmes (39) set up victory on 97-4. Balti Hut went top of the division with a seven-wicket win over Clairville Crabs. Clairville were bowled out for 44 before N Khan (40no) saw Balti home with nine fours in his brief innings.

Skelton Castle made 109-5 when they visited Hartlepool Power Station with M Himsworth (31) and G Hirst (36) batting well. …
