NORTH Queensland reggae/hip-hop band Zennith has been years in the making.

Some might even say a life-time.

The band a including the Brim family's brothers Aden, Astro, adopted Isaac Crowley, dad Willie as well as Lindsay Snider and Biri-Jah Duffin a has played as Zennith since 2005.

The group's album Nothin' To Lose, released last year, garnered them festival slots at Bluesfest as well as Splendour in the Grass, not to mention a busy tour schedule.

When Pulse spoke to Aden from his home in Kuranda, far north Queensland, Astro and Willie joined in.

Willie Brim is a respected musician and elder in the community and has passed on his love of music to his children.

Aden says that growing up they spent a lot of time touring and when his brother formed a band he knew he would enjoy life on the road.

aI think watching my brother really gave me an insight into the touring life and it was great,a he says.

At age 12 Aden formed a band himself with Isaac while they were still in high school. …
