CHRIS Fox was hesitant about taking a fight on the Michael Katsidis under card tomorrow until he was offered another match-up with Israel Kani.

After winning half his 110 fights as an amateur, Fox turned professional and has one win, two draws and five losses in the paid ranks.

He retired more times than he can recall but reckons he C[pounds sterling]owesC[yen] Kani, a former Australian super-middleweight champion from Noosa.

C[pounds sterling]I thought I was finished then the promoter rang up and I said no. They then threw Israel at me and I agreed.C[yen]

Fox, 35, is two years younger than Kani and the pair fought twice as amateurs.

They were the main bout at one Theatre of Thunder Tournament at Kings in Warwick when Fox had his eye closed at the beginning of the second round.
