GRAB your lunch and blanket or chair and head for historical Memorial Park on Sunday, August 21.

From midday two bands will provide free community entertainment and all you have to do is turn up (weather permitting).

Relax on the grass in the sunshine and enjoy a young band called Reminiscence. The students from Gympie State High School are accomplished musicians, but have only played together this year.

With Aiden Patrick on lead guitar and some vocals, Grace Sleeman on rhythm guitar and main vocals, Karen Mayfield on bass guitar and vocals and Brad Williams on drums, the influence of country will shine through.

The second band is the musical collective of Club Moy with John Baillie and Friends.

For a quarter of a century Mary Valley resident John Baillie has opened his home to budding talents providing a venue and equipment for artists to develop their skills and confidence.

Despite a massive set back in 2002 when the elaborate quaker barn style home burned to the ground, Club Moy continues to attract musicians and musical appreciators of all types. …
