Cuggy Set to Make His Mark at Blyth; BLUE SQUARE BET NORTH

ALL eyes are on him, but Steve Cuggy is determined to make his mark at Blyth Spartans.

The former Whitley Bay assistant manager has replaced Mick Tait in the Croft Park hot-seat.

Out has gone talismanic striker Robbie Dale and in have come a host of new faces, some from the Northern League.

But as they begin their Blue Square Bet North campaign at relegated Histon today, Cuggy has vowed to bring positivity to the club.

"We've had some big changes at the club, some of which at the beginning were out of my hands," he said.

"We lost three lads - Paul Brayson, Michael Tait and Stephen Turnbull - to Harrogate Town, and now we've let Robbie Dale go.

"They were big players for the club, and we wish them well. But we've done the best possible job to try and put our own mark on the club, and build a team and a squad we believe will do well. …
