Kaye Wants to Spread the Cheer with Daffodils

KAYE Kidd lost both her parents to cancer and nursed her husband, Trevor, as he battled kidney cancer earlier this year.

That's why she gives her time to raise funds for cancer charities and why she'll be selling daffodils in Rockhampton next week.

As she has done for the past three years, Kaye will man a stall in the Kern Arcade in East St for three days, raising thousands of dollars more for Cancer Council Queensland.

Kaye says she loves how the cheery yellow flower makes people smile and cherishes the opportunity to meet the people who buy daffodils and other merchandise.

aWhen you have been touched by the disease, you really understand how important it is to help out, raise a few dollars and do everything you can to help our researchers find ways to detect and treat cancer,a she said.

aWe usually get brilliant support in the arcade and I hope people will be as generous this year as they have been in the past. …
