Fatigue and belts queried in crash

POLICE are investigating whether passengers in a fatal car accident at Apple Tree Creek were wearing seatbelts.

A one-month-old girl and her one-year-old sister died when the family car smashed into a tree at 1am on Sunday. Their mother and older sisters were flown to Brisbane with significant injuries. Bundaberg police Superintendent Rowan Bond said investigations were centred around two of the afatal foura: fatigue and seatbelts.
