AMONG the cases dealt with at Teesside Magistrates' Court on August 8 were: Hellen Elizabeth Stewart, 28, of Harebell Close, Ingleby Barwick, Stockton, banned from driving for 14 days, fined pounds 300 and ordered to pay pounds 100 costs for speeding.

James Marshall Irvin, 34, of Acacia Road, Stockton, given an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months, with a six-month treatment requirement and a 22-day community programme and a restraining order for assault.

John Bradley, 62, of Mill Lane, Wolviston, Billingham, fined pounds 175 and ordered to pay pounds 100 costs for speeding.

Natalie Jennifer Clarke, 27, of Ash Green, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, fined pounds 100 and ordered to pay pounds 65 costs for using a vehicle without insurance.

Karen Crossman, 58, of Biretta Close, Stockton, fined pounds 340 and ordered to pay pounds 65 costs for speeding.

Michael Thomas Hird, 44, of Ripon Road, Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough, fined pounds 350 and ordered to pay pounds 100 costs for speeding.

Kevin Jennings, 54, of Staindale Gardens, Stockton, fined pounds 135 and ordered to pay pounds 65 costs for speeding.

Adam Northey, 18, of Marsh House Avenue, Billingham, banned from driving for 18 months, given a 12-month community order with supervision and ordered to pay pounds 700 compensation for aggravated vehicle taking, using a vehicle without insurance and driving without an appropriate licence.

Chris Diamond, 51, of Campbell Court, Portrack, Stockton, discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay pounds 40 costs for criminal damage.

Anthony Edward Hatch, 18, of Deleval Road, Billingham, given a 12-month community order with 100 hours' unpaid work and ordered to pay pounds 350 compensation and pounds 50 costs for handling stolen goods and failing to surrender to court.
