Man under Arrest in Stabbing at Party; A 21-Year-Old Man Dies, a Second Person Is Treated at the Hospital

Article excerpt

An argument at a party resulted in a man's fatal stabbing early Saturday, Jacksonville homicide Sgt. Lonnie Mills said.

When police arrived shortly after 3 a.m. at the scene at the corner of North Jackson Avenue and Texas Street in the Marietta area, they found 21-year-old Mike J. Wilson inside a truck he had backed about 100 feet from a driveway into a fence. Mills said it's not clear whether he was stabbed before or after he got into the car.

Saturday evening, police arrested Shea A. Caret-Strong, 20, in connection with the death.

A second person was taken to Shands Jacksonville but was treated and released, Mills said.
