THE first show of a tour is the most extensive and has aa certain energya, Adam Weston says.

The drummer for Perth alternative rock band Birds of Tokyo told BEAT this week that the first show was where the band trialled new songs that could end up on the set list for the rest of the tour.

This is great news for Rocky fans as the band popped us on the top of its Closer regional touring list, after it had to cancel a show in 2009 due to illness.

Weston said the band members would be agiving it their alla when they perform at the Great Western Hotel next week with local lads Busby Marou to make up for the promised show.
