IF SOMEONE had put a rock on the road that caused an accident, that person would be liable.

The council have put these tubes on the road, therefore they should be liable. What if the punctured tyre led to the car crashing into a tree, killing the driver?

I don't see the difference between a rock and a tube, both obstruct the road.

Waste of time

A PARTIALLY lifted manhole cover near Burnside High School claimed my tyre many years ago.

I had reliable witnesses who took photos and contacted the council.

I received a very rude disclaimer letter that nearly made me take them to court.

Common sense prevailed and I decided it wasn't worth it and they got away with it.

Can you imagine them not taking me to court if I violated one of their minor little ordinances?

WRITE to the council and request payment for the damages.

Then go to Maroochydore Court House and file a claim in Small Claims Court against the council. …
