Adviser Has Returned to Her Native North East
AN adviser involved in a number of large public sector transactions has been headhunted by Newcastlebased business advisory firm unw.
Julie Gilhespie has over 20 years' experience of corporate finance deals from small owner-managed businesses to large plcs, as well as the public and third sectors.
After spending over a decade at Deloitte working for clients between Leeds and London, she has returned to her native North East to bring her public sector expertise to unw's corporate finance department.
For the last 13 years Ms Gilhespie has been involved in a number of significant infrastructure initiatives, including the replacement of many of the North East's local hospitals, schools and waste facilities.
She said: "Unw is established as having the skills and track record in handling large deals and providing a local, responsive service and I am delighted to be joining in partnership with so many former colleagues.
"I intend to grow the public sector side of the business which couldn't have come at a better time as the new Government seeks to make significant changes in the way that public services are delivered. …
