SEPTEMBER 1 saw the official opening of South Grafton Public School's new school library.

Lots of important people turned up to see the official cutting of the ribbon to open the new library, including Steve Cansdell, Janelle Saffin and Richie Williamson, the Grafton Mayor.

Steve Cansdell said: aI am really happy that S.G.P.S received the Building the Education Revolution money from the Federal Government to build a new library, wonderful classrooms and office areas.a

Also at the opening were the local members of parliament plus previous S.G.P.S. principal Mr Bill Scott.

Councillor Williamson said: aI think the new library is something the school should be very proud of and the computers are very impressive.a

To start the grand opening, school principal Mrs Sue Hillary thanked everybody for coming and then handed the scissors to Janelle Saffin to officially cut the ribbon. …
