Drinking in thecar costs $480

A MAN who was drinking a glass of vodka and orange while sitting in his car listening to music has been fined $480 and disqualified from driving for eight months.

Christopher John Todd, 24, of Kepnock, pleaded guilty in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court yesterday to being in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of drugs.

The court heard Todd was at a party at a home on Gayndah Rd in Maryborough about 8.30pm on August 12 when he went to the car get a CD and decided to finish his drink while he listened to music in the car.

Todd recorded a blood-alcohol reading of 0.191%.
