CHLOE and Lexie Jackson and their cousin Denver Hornery, all of Rockhampton, have come up with a great way to earn money for the holidays.

Chloe,12, Lexie, 14, and Denver, 12, have perfected their recipe for homemade lemonade and have set up a lemonade and lollipops stall to tempt shoppers at the monthly Carnival Markets, held in the grounds of PCYC, Stapleton Park, North Rockhampton.

Chairwoman of the Carnival Markets committee, Di Cartwright, couldn't be prouder.

C[pounds sterling]I would like to say how proud I am of my three grand-daughters and the initiative they show as young people.

C[pounds sterling]These three girls have been helping me with my market stall for 18 months and have decided to have a go themselves, to save for their holidays.

C[pounds sterling]To achieve their goal, they came up with the idea of starting a homemade lemonade stall,C[yen] she said.

With Di's assistance, the girls were able to apply to Rockhampton Regional Council to obtain a licence to hold a lemonade and lollipops stall. …
