YARDS are too small for dogs these days in most of suburbia, and people are generally too busy too walk pooch as well. Dogs need attention and activity. What concerns me is that the dog may be adopted into a family that neglects it, which turns it into the barking, biting lunatic we read above.

Lesson for people too

ALL dogs need to be disciplined, but so do humans. Every morning we walk our dog and pick up trash along the way. I wish the Sunshine Coast were more forgiving with off-lead beaches as most dog owners who let their dogs off lead are actually quite responsible and informed about their behaviour. I can't believe how many dirty looks we get while our puppy plays in rock pools. Maybe they should look the other way and pick up a ciggy butt instead then smile about what a beautiful area of the world we enjoy. …
