Baseball

Unfortunately baseball numbers have dropped over the last couple of Masters Games.

This year they have six all male teams with three from Lismore, one each from Casino, the Hunter Valley and Narraburra in Southwest Queensland.

They'll play at the Albert Park on Keen St in the Lismore CBD between 9am and 3.30pm over the three days and will socialize at Tommy's on the Saturday night.

Oztag

If you don't know what Oztag is well it's kind of like touch footy and tag.

These Games there is 13 teams with one mixed team, their first in its history.

They will use the two soccer fields at the Italo Club, Lismore, and have the finals on the Saturday before retiring to the Italo club for celebrations.

Lawn Bowls

Bowls must be one of the most popular sports on the Masters agenda.

The number of teams has doubled since 2009.

There are 36 teams with 72 participants all up.

They will play at the City Bowlo, Lismore Heights and the East Lismore Bowling Club over the three days.

The trophies will be presented on the Sunday after a light lunch at the Heights.

The teams are mixed and over 40s only.

Pool (8Ball)

There'll be 24 eager pool players gathered around four billiard tables on the Friday and Saturday at the Dunoon Sports Club.

After a plethora of games starting at 9am both days, they will celebrate at the Club on the Saturday night.

The competitors will enjoy a dinner followed by entertainment from Dr Bob.

A barbecue will be provided both days of the competition.

Dressage

Participants are coming from up north and down south for the two day dressage.

It will be held at the Bangalow Showground on the Friday and Saturday with karaoke and fun at the Moller Pavilion on the Friday night.

This year there are 29 riders who will compete in two or three each.

Dressage convener Judith Mason said the sponsors, Southern Cross Credit Union, would be coming down from Murwillumbah to present the winners with their trophies.

Soccer

It is by far the most popular sport at the Games with 334 players.

Soccer has 11 men's teams and 12 women's teams signed up to play at Weston Park in Goonellabah over the three days and using Nielson Park, Lismore on the Saturday as well. …
