THE ultimate girls' night out is heading to Billingham's Forum Theatre next week. Based on author Eve Ensler's Vagina Interviews conducted with women from all around the world, The Vagina Monologues is a hilariously witty and moving collection of outrageous, poignant and brave human stories.

A staggering number of famous women - from Kate Winslet to Jerry Hall - have chosen to take part in the show around the world.

And starring in this latest tour - which stops off at Billingham on Wednesday - is Wendi Peters, who is best known for playing Cilla Battersby Brown in Coronation Street.

Having taken part in the show for short spells previously, Wendi is now on the road with the production until December.

"I've always loved taking part in the show and it's great to be doing it for an 11-week run," says Wendi.

"There's no big set to be dazzled by.

It's a show that's stripped right back and is all about listening to the words."

Wendi, who was also a finalist on Celebrity Masterchef in 2009, is starring alongside Coronation Street and Waterloo Road actress Zaraah Abrahams and Louisa Lytton who rose to fame in EastEnders as Ruby Allen. …
