A DRIVER was caught speeding on the same road eight times in just over two weeks, a court heard.

Edwin Nally has been warned he faces a driving ban after he was clocked eight times in just 18 days.

The 32-year-old was even spotted breaking the limit twice on the same day as he drove along the road in Sunderland.

He was caught by speed cameras going up to 48 miles per hour in a 30mph zone on Ryhope Road in the city.

He also faced one charge of driving through a red light on the same road, and another of driving at 70 miles per hour on the A69 in Melkridge, Northumberland, despite the road having a maximum speed limit of 50 miles per hour. Nally failed to turn up for his hearing at Sunderland Magistrates' Court this week, but magistrates convicted him of all 11 offences, which could see him gain three points for each on his licence. …
