Mowbray's message "IT will no doubt be a very, very tough away fixture, one that last year gave us our biggest defeat in my time here and most difficult day.

"We've done well on the road but it doesn't stand for anything going into this fixture. Hopefully we'll find a similar performance to what we've found on the road all season.

"The boys will be looking forward to it. They'll take the confidence from being unbeaten into the game.

"We'll be very mindful of Reading, who scored three in the last 11 minutes on Tuesday and that will have given them a lift."

Boro form guide AWAY from home Boro have proved too hot to handle all season.

Tony Mowbray's men boast a 100% record on the road in the league, winning at Leeds, Barnsley, Burnley and Crystal Palace.

An opposition player has yet to score against Boro in a Championship away game. The only goal against came from the boot of Stephen McManus.

The general form trend isn't quite as impressive. Boro have won two, lost one and drawn two in all competitions, failing to score in their last two game though, by the same token, keeping four clean sheets in the last five games.

Beat the bookies GAZETTE tipster William Chrimes says: "Boro will have to graft at Reading tomorrow but, with their away form so hot, it's worth backing the visitors at 2/1 on Betdaq.

"Boro have been level at the break in their past two league games, so I'd also recommend backing the draw/Boro double result at 5/1 with Boylesports.

"Boro have failed to find the back of the net in their past 180 minutes of football, so a sell (bet lower) of total goals at 2.5 with Sporting Index is the best option."

Opposition view BRIAN McDermott is expecting a tough test from Boro.

He said: "We stayed in the same place as Middlesbrough in Slovenia on our pre-season tour. Tony has done a great job there.

"They've had a terrific start to the season and we know Saturday will be a tough, tough game.

"Boro have had a settled side for a while now.

"Players there are still on big money and it will be a major test for us."

Reading form guide READING have been slow out of the blocks after a storming end to last season.

So far this term Brian McDermott's side have taken 11 points from nine games to sit 14th in the table. They've lost two of their four home games to take four points out of a possible 12, scoring five and conceding six, keeping just one clean sheet.

They've shown signs of recovery, winning 3-2 at Bristol City on Tuesday, drawing 1-1 at Coventry on Saturday and beating Doncaster 2-0 in their last home game.

In the know "READING lost some big players like Matthew Mills and Shane Long in the summer. Only four of the side that kicked-off the play-off final at Wembley started at Bristol City on Tuesday night. …
