PCSO on Child Porn Charges; Defendant Was Arrested by His Colleagues

AFORMER police community support officer has appeared in court on child pornography charges.

Lee Wilson was working for Northumbria Police when he was arrested by colleagues from his own force in June.

And following a probe lasting several months he has now been charged with a series of serious child pornography offences.

The 21-year-old, of Jesmond, Newcastle, is accused of nine counts of making indecent images of children, four counts of possessing indecent images of children and one count of possessing extreme pornography.

The Journal understands Mr Wilson was working as a community support officer (CSO) in Northumberland when he was arrested at his home.

But he has since resigned from his job with Northumbria Police.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "Lee Wilson, 21, of Fairfield Road, Jesmond, has been charged with nine counts of making indecent images of children, four counts of possessing indecent images of children and one count of possessing extreme pornography. …
