MADD Excitement before Curtain Goes Up

IT is a MADD finish to a year of rehearsals, but Nadine Hill will be sad when it is all over.

The Year 12 student from Rockhampton High School is one of more than 100 students who will be in a variety of acts in MADD, an annual showcase night by the school run by students of the music, art, drama and dance departments.

Nadine had been taking part in MADD since she was in Year 5, but because she is now a senior this will be her final event.

aI love being on stage, so I am sad this is my last one,a she said.

Part of her joy was also in sharing the stage with primary school students from Crescent Lagoon, Bajool and Allenstown Primary schools who have been mentored by the high school students.

aI look back and think, wow, that was me.a

After spending months rehearsing for the eight items, she will perform tomorrow night, Nadine said much of the success of the show was because of their teacher Miss Davies. …
