Jail Time for ,Cycareer Crim'; Man Stole Almost $25K of Goods in Two Weeks

A CAREER criminal has landed himself back in jail after a string of break-ins and thefts at several Bundaberg phone stores.

All up, Brendon John Hodda stole almost $25,000 worth of goods Co with only about $7000 worth of those recovered.

Hodda, 33, of Svensson Heights, pleaded guilty in Bundaberg Magistrates Court yesterday to 20 charges, including nine of stealing.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Barry Stevens said between September 9 and 26, Hodda stole items from four phone shops, Harvey Norman, Bunnings and even his sister.

The most serious was a break-in at the Telstra Store at Sugarland Shoppingtown on September 24, when Hodda and two associates smashed a window with a sledgehammer.
