MANAGER Ian Davison is not getting carried away with one result - but is confident Tow Law Town will soon climb out of the Division One danger zone.

The Lawyers produced the shock result of the season when they defeated highfliers Sunderland RCA at the Ironworks Road ground.

It was only their third success in 17 games and they remain second bottom.

Davison said: "It was a buoyant dressing room on Saturday night.

"Not many neutral observers gave us a chance but I thought we were superb in the first half when we led with goals by Mark Nixon and Luke Thompson.

"They pulled a goal back through Brian Stewart and I thought the turning point came right on half-time when Stephen Robinson made a wonderful double save from Andrew Cuthbertson and Lee Owens.

"Had they equalised then who knows what the second half would have thrown up.

"They threw everything at us other than the kitchen sink - but we showed great character to grind out a result.

"Only recently, they would have turned us over but I have brought two lads in and have a fully-fit squad for the first time this season, which is making a big difference. …
