Cafe Beats a Path to New Spot in Mall; Staff Excited about the Possibilities at Fresh Site

THE Busy Beat cafe has closed its Brisbane St doors for the final time ahead of a move to a more central location in the Ipswich City Mall.

The closure was forced by the pending demolition and redevelopment of the Brisbane St and Bell St corner of Ipswich City Square, but Busy Beat staff are keen to use the move as an opportunity to improve their location and services.

Community services team leader Timothy Hope said Busy Beat would experience a short hiatus before reopening in the mall, to allow for a fit-out of a state-of-the-art kitchen.

Mr Hope said the new site would hopefully open around mid-December, and would coincide with the launch of an exciting new summer menu.

aBecause we will have an updated kitchen, the menu will expand a we will be able to prepare fresh salads and pastas on a made-to-order basis,a Mr Hope said. aI feel that there's a real space for fresh, healthy food in the Ipswich market, and the move will really take the menu to another level. …
