Dunham Rocks the Ages at Lyric

CHRISTMAS on the Sunshine Coast will be the perfect end to a rockin' year for Rachel Dunham.

The singer and actress is starring in the critically acclaimed '80s rock musical Rock of Ages which opened at QPAC in Brisbane last weekend.

Dunham plays jazz singer and gentlemen's club owner Justice in the musical comedy that had a six-month stint at Melbourne's Comedy Theatre.

The show has a five-week run in Brisbane which will be perfect timing for a much-needed Christmas holiday break for Dunham with family at their Kenilworth farm.

aWhen all us children left home my mum brought a hinterland property. So for the last 20 odd years, that's been the go-to place when you're home from shows or life breaks down or whatever happens,a Dunham said.

In 2004 Dunham won the STAR Award for best supporting actress for her performance as Mama Morton in the Noosa Arts Theatre production of Chicago.

Before moving to Sydney, she performed at the Noosa Jazz Festival and also taught vocal techniques at TAFE. …
