Business Park Is Boosted as Units Created

GLOBAL property group Goodman has invested a further pounds 130,000 in its Rainton Bridge Business Park in Sunderland.

This latest investment means the three-storey, 38,000 sq ft Alexander House has been subdivided into six smaller offices, ranging in size from 4,000 to 13,000 sq ft, allowing the building to be leased to a wide variety of companies.

Niall McGilp, regional development director for Goodman, said: "The new units created by the subdivision of Alexander House are ideal for SMEs and for larger firms looking to establish a regional presence in the area.

"The fact we are attracting new occupiers is testament to the ongoing success of our development at Rainton Bridge and demand for these smaller, highly specified units is strong.

"Working in partnership with Sunderland City Council, we are continuing to attract successful businesses to Rainton Bridge by providing them with office space specific to their individual needs.

"The local authority has also invested in state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure at Rainton Bridge."

This month, construction firm Bowmer & Kirkland became the latest company to relocate to Alexander House, occupying nearly 4,000 square feet of the second floor, for its new North East regional office. …
