COULD you pack up your life and move interstate with nothing but a passion and a dream? Last year, Noosa singer-songwriter Lemya did just that. After almost two years, she was ready to record her debut EP and nothing was going to stop her.

Lemya and her fiancA[c] packed their car and headed to Melbourne. They didn't have a house to go to, jobs or a manager.

All they had was trust and a passion for music.

aI decided it was the best thing musically,a she said when the Daily caught up with her.

Shortly after the move, Lemya was lucky enough to cross paths with Sam Panetta, who has produced the work of Kylie Minogue, Kisschasey and Angela's Dish.

And after 18 months, her debut EP Far Away was born, released in March this year.

Lemya couldn't be happier with the outcome and is keen to begin working on a full-length album.

She compares her sound to artists such as Norah Jones, Enja and Sarah McLachlan.

Lifeinspires Lemya's songwriting and she can be anywhere when inspiration strikes. …
