HIGH HONOURS; Grafton Players Chosen in State Team

Article excerpt

FIVE Grafton players will represent New South Wales at the Under-13 National Invitation Indoor Hockey Tournament in Canberra in February and a further two have been selected as shadow players.

Nick Pate, Josh Rose, Brayden Lollback, Chloe Duroux and Josh Cumberland have been chosen for New South Wales teams, while Ben Jurd and Sam Duroux came close to the cut as shadow players.

We played Illawarra 1 in the first round of the semis and went down to them 4-3 in a tough game.

Grafton 2 Boys: In the first game, against Bathurst, the boys went out hard but endured a 9-3 loss. The second game was against McCarthur and they had a great time, though they did go down to them 7-2. It was a great effort by all. Their third game was against New England and they really stuck it to them. Zac Young, Cooper Woods and Toby Power were great in attack and defence but went down 3-0. The boys' last game was against Central Coast. …
