Fishburn's Run Goes on; TJFA Report

THE amazing run of Fishburn Park continued last Sunday with a 3-0 home victory against a very useful Brompton Juniors team in the Under-9s North Riding third division.

Fishburn Park are now exactly halfway through their league campaign having played 10 matches. Their current record of winning all 10 games and not conceding a single goal in that time is quite remarkable. Their goals last Sunday came from Harry Best, Jack Collier and Brandon Finn. They have a free Sunday this coming weekend so their brilliant record will remain until at least December 11.

The league has never had a team who went through the full league season winning every match and without conceding a goal, so no pressure on them then!

Last weekend, in really blustery conditions for the youngsters, we managed to play another 246 league games which saw 1,177 goals being scored, with 64 hat-tricks or better from the junior players.

I mentioned last week that there would be a close match between Skelton United and Middleton Rangers in the Under-13s third division and this proved to be the case as the teams shared the points in a 1-1 draw.

The Skelton goal came from Lewis Oliver with the Middleton Rangers goal coming from Tyler Wilson.

Those two sides still occupy the top two positions, but TIBS FC B are breathing down their necks in third spot and remained 100% after beating Normanby United 8-2 last Sunday. The TIBS scorers were, Ben Mulroy, Kieran Mulroy, Jack Southern, Ryan Cullen who hit two, and a great hat-trick from Joe Pickett. The Normanby goals came from Connor Jones and Josh Watson.

The biggest match of the season so far in the Under-15s fifth division saw St. Francis 2000 climb above their opponents Richmond Town to top the table following a resounding 5-1 home win.
