THE MOVEMBER cause is more than $5000 stronger thanks to a team of 15 hairy-lipped men from the Harwood Sugar Mill.

The team, known as the Sugar Mo's, has been hard at work during November raising money individually and as a group for Movember, which supports vari- ous men's health charities.

With the help of the local community and $1000 donations from both Manildra Harwood Sugars and the NSW Sugar Milling Co-operative, the team managed to raise a total of $5500 for the cause.

The Sugar Mo's effort culminated on Saturday night when they held an end-of-month party at the Harwood Hotel, where guests enjoyed a dinner and live music provided by local bands Little Big Fish, Liar Liar and Pulse, who each donated their time to play at the event.

The night also saw the judging of the prized Sugar Mo's Movember Awards.

Taking out the coveted major prize, Man of Movember, was Jason Anderson while Tom Welsh was awarded the Highest Fund- raiser award for raising more than $800 on his own. …
