The future of one of the Rockhampton region's long-established rugby league clubs is under threat.

Outgoing Fitzroy Gracemere Sharks president Tony Wust is urging people to aget involveda as the club struggles to form an executive committee.

Only three people attended the club's recent annual meeting with no one there prepared to take on an executive position.

This week Wust contacted The Bulletin hoping to generate community interest ahead of an annual meeting this Sunday.

Wust fears the prospect of Fitzroy Gracemere Rugby League Club taking part in the 2012 competition aat this moment in time is virtually impossiblea unless club supporters stand up.

It has been a hard year for the club with the 2011 A-grade side bottom in the four-team Rockhampton competition.

During the season some players backed up on a regular basis to make sure the club met its obligations. …
