JANUARY is panto time and with six productions to choose from right across the Sunshine Coast, you are spoilt for choice this summer.

Tickets are selling quickly for the age-old tale, Mother Goose, being staged by Noosa Arts Theatre at the Tewantin State School, opening January 7.

Mother Goose and her family become very rich thanks to Candy the magic goose but Mother Goose is old and ugly.

She would give anything to become young and beautiful again.

Vanity, the bad fairy, makes a pact with her to turn her ugliness into beauty in exchange for the magic goose.

Mother Goose's silly son Billy, with the help of his sister Jill, her fiancA[c] Jack, and Virtue, the fairy Queen, set out to get Candy back and put things right.

Director Yvie Somerville said the show had aeverything a good panto shoulda.

aThe play contains a wonderful baddie in the shape of Squire Snyde, portrayed to perfection by newcomer Roger Shaw, good and bad fairies, and small, quite adorable fairies. …
