EVEN after seeing all corners of the world competing in the biggest triathlon events, there is still no place like home for Woolgoolga's Emma Moffatt.

The 27-year-old Beijing Olympic bronze medallist was looking forward to spending some well earned down time from training in her home town.

Moffatt will have plenty of good news to share with family when she's in Woolgoolga after gaining pre-selection for the Australian squad for the 2012 London Olympics.

aThere is no other place I have been where I feel as settled as I do in Woolgoolga,a Moffatt said.

aI will be back visiting Woolgoolga twice over Christmas and hopefully again in April for my school reunion.

aMy parents are still there and even though I moved away when I was 18 I always come back every year.a

Preparation for London will be quite different compared to what it was four years ago in the lead up to Beijing.

Moffatt claims she will enjoy the reduced stress that her pre-selection will provide come time for the selection trials in March. …
