CURTIS Island never fails to offer a striking image. It provides a different spectacle each day Co a brilliant red sunset across clear horizon, a brutal thunderstorm marching toward the coast, or a sunbird hovering over the flowers.

Photographer Gary Harris has discovered Curtis Island is the perfect environment to ply his craft.

Mr Harris and his wife Tracey have been living on the island for two years.

C[pounds sterling]We were cruising in our yacht and we fell in love with the harbour and the reef area that was around,C[yen] he said.

C[pounds sterling]We came over and spent two weeks in the camp grounds here and just totally fell in love with the island, purely because of the diversity that is here.C[yen]

There is so much about the island that fascinates Mr Harris, and has captured many moments on camera He said the island never fails to provide him with new inspiration. …
