A CHARITY which helps disabled youngsters is hoping for readers' support in organising a fun night out.

Friends of Gleneagles (FROGS) has signed up to take part in the year's pounds 50,000 Gazette Wish campaign.

Top of the organisers' wish list is to raise funds to go towards a family fun night - as well as cash to keep their minibus running.

FROGS is a charity that helps youngsters with a range of disabilities at Gleneagles Resource Centre in Saltersgill.

Kimberly Shildrick, a resource worker at the charity, said the family night is a great event.

"It gives people the chance to socialise and be independent and to have their family there as well," she said.

"The money will also go towards the minibus that we've got, to keep up with its insurance and maintenance."

The charity relies on donations and fundraising events so it can buy new specialist toys and equipment, but due to the current economic climate, the charity is not getting as much cash. …
