A 21-years-old woman was killed instantly on Friday night when a motor car she was driving left the Pacific Highway at Tyndale and crashed head-on into a tree. She was Nancy Amy Tabor, of Townsend. She was driving along the highway during heavy rain and was accompanied by Warren Noel Smith, of McLachlan Street, Maclean, who was not seriously injured.

FIFTY-TWO years ago, Mrs. Gertrude McGuren, wife of a health inspector, gave birth to the first of her five children and young Dr. Earle Page rocked the new-born baby in his arms. He had safely delivered the boy child and smiled when he heard its first cry. The boy grew up and used to wave to the aDoca making his rounds in Grafton's first car. The years rolled on.
