Netballers Fired Up; Queensland Firebirds Star Visits Gladstone to Pass on Tips to Junior Players

THE faces of 38 young netballers, between the ages of 8 and 15, told the story of Laura Geitz's Clinic better then anyone else could have.

Their faces were bright red from participating in a game of netball and various drills, beads of sweat sat on their brow but a smile that you couldn't wipe off was planted on their faces, their eyes showing just how in awe they were of their idol.

The girls had just finished participating in the Laura Geitz clinic, part of her Central Queensland tour.

Confirming the looks on their faces was Yasmin Ramsey, who was glad she got to attend the clinic.

C[pounds sterling]I loved it. It was so cool to meet Laura; I watch her play on TV.

C[pounds sterling]She is the world's best defender; I play GD so it was really good to meet my idol.C[yen]

During the workshop Geitz shared her netball expertise in the areas of ball and footwork as well as conducting a mini game and finishing the day up with a Quiz and Question an Answer segment. …
