THIS Christmas and New Year, Audi Centre Sunshine Coast and the marque's entire network are giving back to the community by turning cars into gifts for children in need.

As a way of saying thank you to the Australian community for another year of growth, Audi, its Sunshine Coast centre and network of dealerships set aside money from every vehicle sold in 2011 to buy gifts and play equipment for children.

Mission Australia CEO Toby Hall accepted thousands of gifts from Audi's managing director Uwe Hagen and chairman of the Audi Dealer Association, Gareth Bryant.

Audi ambassador Matthew Burke was on-hand to sign some balls for the children.

In partnership with Mission Australia, Audi's Christmas gift project will reach thousands of children and their parents, and will help spread Christmas cheer to those who may be affected by the tough economic times.

Mr Hagen said the brand was keen to send a strong message of appreciation to the community for supporting its 14,500 vehicle sales throughout the year. …
