Blue Mountain Heights, a picturesque suburb just north of Toowoomba offers some of the prettiest valley views around.

About seven Kms north of Toowoomba is the suburb of Blue Mountain Heights.

It is in a wonderful location just a few minutes' drive from city amenities.

Claiming a close-knit community who live mostly east of the New England Highway, Blue Mountain Heights was the southern-most part of Crows Nest Shire before council amalgamation.

Turning off Murphys Creek Road, Skyline Drive runs along a spur of the Great Dividing Range parallel to the highway.

A series of cul-de-sac streets run off Skyline Drive which forms the spine of this section of this village-like suburb.

This arrangement has made the most of some spectacular escarpment and valley views and adds to the privacy of each property.

The area abounds with natural fauna like king parrots, echidnas and carpet snakes.

Though Murphys Creek Road was established in the 1870s or before, Blue Mountain Heights was subdivided first in the 1970s a[pounds sterling] before that it was natural bushland.
