Byline: SYNDA TURNBULL

A PANTOMIME eggs-travaganza is opening today at 11am at the Tewantin State School.

Presented by Noosa Arts Theatre, Mother Goose will provide eggs-citing entertainment for the kids.

It will include everybody's favourite characters: Mother Goose, Candy, the goose that lays the golden eggs, Virtue, the nice fairy, and her little friends.

And there's the characters we all love to hate, including local landowner and bully Sidney Snyde, who is played to perfection by newcomer Roger Shaw, and the nasty fairy, Vanity.

Just like the raft of children's movies on offer, the show cleverly intertwines several layers of humour to keep adults as well as the children amused.

So treat your kids to some fun live entertainment and introduce them to the imaginative world of theatre.

And don't forget to take the grandparents, too. They will love to see the little ones squeal with delight.

Audience participation is encouraged, so the kids can have fun cheering for the goodies and hissing at the baddies.

Of course, the bully always loses and everyone else lives happily ever after, just the way it should be.

Mother Goose is an unbeatable cavalcade of fairytale fun, with eggs-traordinary song-and-dance routines, eggs-quisite sets and costumes a and eggs-cruciating jokes by the dozen.

Two performances will be held today and tomorrow at 11am and 2pm, and then further performances on January 14, 15, 21, 22 at 11am and 2pm.

Tickets are $10 and a booking fee applies. To book your seats, phone 5449 9343 or book online at www.noosaartstheatre.org.au.

The winners of the Mother Goose colouring-in competition are Miyah Heinl, 3, Harry Barwell, 5, Bronte Meyer, 7, Charlie Nancarrow, 7, and Jordan Wise, 15. The best entry, winning $150, was Saskia Laing, 9. …
