Jailed over Drugs Stash; Cocaine Could Fetch Pounds 29,000

A THUG who once attacked his own sister is behind bars after he was caught hoarding thousands of pounds of cocaine.

Christopher Barfoot assaulted his sister in 2010 because she didn't have his tea ready on time.

Now he is back in trouble after police found cocaine worth up to pounds 29,000 at his parents' home.

Barfoot, who claimed he was warehousing the drugs for a Mr Big, has now been jailed for two years.

Police executed a search warrant at Barfoot's parents' home, on Welbeck Road, Walker, where he was staying, in June last year.

In a gift bag in a cupboard they found 13 golf ball-sized bags containing white powder.

Further cocaine packages were then found in carrier bags in a bedroom, Newcastle Crown Court heard.

The total amount of drugs found was 490 grammes and it was all of high purity, of around 80%.

Prosecutors said the haul was worth between pounds 14,000 and pounds 29,000 on the streets. …
