THE Rockhampton Country Music Concert Inc made a donation to a representative from the Rockhampton Renal Unit. Lib Bailey last Wednesday at the QRI Hall, Denison St.

The donation is made up of money raised by the committee at the monthly morning teas and also the proceeds from sales of multi-draw tickets. Len and Bev Harris celebrated their 55 years of marriage at the concert last Wednesday. Len and Bev are regular helpers for the Rockhampton Country Music events.

Appreciation to Sports Club

AT the end of 2011, U3A Rockhampton presented a certificate of appreciation to the Frenchville Sports Club who have provided wonderful help throughout the year. Receiving the certificate was the Frenchville Club's Kerree (on behalf of FSC) from John Elson U3A Rockhampton president. U3A Rockhampton will start the 2012 year with a meeting on Monday, February 6, at 9am at the Frenchville Sports Club, Clifton St, North Rockhampton. This meeting is sign-on day at which members can sign on to their special activity groups for this year. Have a look at what is available this year. Although this list doesn't cover all groups available, it does cover a lot of interests. Senior aerobic resistant training, aqua aerobics, mahjong, investment group, singing group, bush dancing, astrology, book lovers, speech group, writing for pleasure, computer group, current affairs group, armchair travel, food lovers croup, garden lovers group, pencil drawing, line dancing, tai chi, family history, and the travel group. Drama fun for children
