New Stars and Old Faves at Top of Music Charts

AUSTRALIAN artists Sia and Timomatic have taken over the ARIA singles charts, with two of the country's biggest-selling tracks.

Wild Ones, the latest offering from pop vocalist Sia and US rapper Flo Rida, has stormed to number one less than a month after its release.

The high-energy dance hit jumped 23 spots in just two weeks and has already sold more than 35,000 copies.

Not far behind is former Australia's Got Talent contestant Timomatic, whose debut platinum-selling single Set It Off peaked this week in second spot.

Meanwhile, David Guetta now has three tracks in the ARIA top 40, including the bullet performer Turn Me On featuring Nicki Minaj, which shot from 14th to number three.

Simple Plan's Summer Paradise also enjoyed a rapid rise to the top, moving from number 11 to sixth place in a week, ahead of Laurent Wery's Hey Hey Hey featuring SwiftKid, at 10 a up 13 spots from 23.

With no new records breaking into the top 50 albums chart this week, British songstress Adele retains pole position, thanks to the ever strong 21. …
