Benefit from New Syllabus at Academy of Dance
CLASSES at Academy of Dance are ready to begin for 2012 and this year, teachers have hit the ground running with the introduction of a new syllabus for Royal Academy of Dance ballet students.
The new syllabus will involve the middle school, from years 1 to 3 and promises to lead students in a new direction of dance training.
They offer children rich, authentic experiences of ballet and music that will help them develop a love, knowledge and understanding of ballet through participation.
Ballet teachers will attend the Australian launch of the new work this week at Sydney North Shore Auditorium.
Darcey Bussell CBE will give teachers a rare view of a coaching session and live demonstrations of teaching methods being introduced.
Contemporary, jazz, hip hop and tap students will have the attention on their classes when teachers and a group of senior students attend the Global Dance Convention (GDC) being held at Olympic Park in Sydney later in the term.
GDC offers a three-day dance workshop featuring five of the industry's elite teaching faculty from the USA.
At Academy of Dance, teachers try to guide dance students along the pathway of improvement through hard work and enjoyment. …
