MARSKE United put their eye-catching form to the test tomorrow as they go to champions Spennymoor.

The sizzling Seasiders are unbeaten in nine league games after an impressive upturn that has taken them soaring away from danger and up into the mid-table pack.

But all bar one of those games - a goalless draw with Whitley Bay - were against teams in the bottom half so the trip to the champs is a big test.

Moors are also in fine form. They are unbeaten in seven, in fourth spot with games in hand on all the teams above them and have yet to lose at home. In fact they have won 10 of their 12 games at the Brewery Field.

Elsewhere in the top flight tomorrow the focus is on the tense battle just above the basement.

Patchy Billingham Town go to mid-table Bishop Auckland looking to claw away from the drop zone.

They are fourth bottom and just three points above the drop spot. In recent weeks they have been erratic, thumping fellow strugglers Jarrow Roofing 7-1 and edging to a 1-0 derby win over Norton but also being thumped 7-0 by Bedlington and last week crashing to a 5-0 home defeat to Newton Aycliffe.

That has left them still looking very vulnerable and they can't afford to get dragged back in.

And they will be looking for a favour from near neighbours Norton as they host lowly South Shields.

Shields are sixth bottom and Town could do with them being pegged back. …
