Mission to Seafarers

THE Mission to Seafarers (Gladstone) Inc. will hold its annual general meeting at the centre on the corner of Bryan Jordan and Alf O'Rourke Drs on Sunday, March 25, at 3pm.

Phoenix Darts

PHOENIX Darts is up and running again for 2012. All people wanting to play are welcome to come along on Thursday nights to the QRI Hall behind the railway station. For more information phone John 49792115.

Hockey sign-on

CROCS hockey will hold its sign-on today from 9am to midday at the BITS AFL grounds. The club welcomes back 2011 season members to sign-on and receive their uniform for the coming season. Calliope church news

SERVICES at the Union Church for the Anglican Church at Calliope have commenced with services on the first, third and fourth Sunday at 10am. The second Sunday the service is at the RSL Hall. It starts at 11am and everyone is welcome to attend. The Presbyterian Church will start in February. Check with the two churches in Gladstone for more information

Craft school

ON MARCH 14 and 15 interested ladies will meet at the Gladstone QCWA Hall to learn red work, dorset stitchery or an assortment of cards in the first school run by the QCWA Port Curtis Division Handcraft Committee in 2012. Bookings are necessary so kits can be prepared. Bookings close on February 28. Please phone 0407755501 for more details. This school will be catered for. Costs will be $30 plus $10 for the kits.

Brekkie club

THE Calliope School Brekkie Club will start on February 10 at the school tuckshop. If you would like to be involved contact 49757404 or Lorelle on 49757341. The volunteers cook sausages and serve them to the children from 8am with a juice. This service is sponsored by the Calliope Anglican Church and the Bendigo Bank and other people in Calliope but if you want to come and offer your services please feel free to get in touch and join in.
