Chloe Is at Event Central; Tourism Grad Takes on Beef Week Internship

BEEF Week was already a well-established festival when its latest recruit Chloe Lyons was born.

But the Bachelor of Business in Tourism Management graduate is not letting her youth stand in her way.

In fact, she's hoping it will allow her to give the festival, which will mark its 30th anniversary this year, a fresh, new perspective.

Chloe, a Casino girl, began work with Beef Week last week as part of a new internship program introduced this year.

The Beef Week committee decided to employ a Southern Cross University graduate as an intern for six months to help in the co-ordinator's office and to gain the benefits a graduate in tourism management could bring to the festival,

The position was posted on the university's internship website and a pleasing number of graduates applied, Beef Week president Stuart George said.

aThe fact that a local girl was awarded the internship is ideal,a he said.

aChloe has participated in Beef Week over the years and already has a good understanding of the festival. …
