From professional trainers to livery yards providing the best possible care, everything you need for your horse is right here in the region: ADAM FOSTER AT GLENWOOD STUD Just 23 years old, native North Easterner Adam Foster has been riding and showing horses and ponies for almost all of his life.

A natural in the saddle, Adam has been an active member of many equine societies including British Show Pony Society in his youth and successfully competed in many classes, including SP, SHP and M&M. He then moved on to win in Ridden Hunter classes and is a previous winner of the BSPS Young Judge of the Year competition. He also gained the BSPS Young Steward Award. Adam has also spent time training with Carl Hester, working and riding for major show horse and pony producers, including riding and turning out winning horses for RIHS, HOYS, BSPS summer/winter Championships, the Hunter Show and all major county shows.

Together with time in Holland and Belgium training at top international dressage yards, he has mastered his trade and started his own business.

On returning North, after schooling and producing for a couple of clients and wining the Royal Highland, he then moved to Glenwood Stud, where he is now based.

In a relatively short space of time, from July to the end of the showing season, he broke and produced youngsters for the show ring and had a wonderfully successful season with numerous wins, championships and qualifications, pleasing both owners and himself alike.

The facilities he has at Glenwood include a lunging pen, large outdoor surface, stabling, individual grazing, show jumps, rubber-floored horse walker, rubber trot-up track, CCTV and 24-hour supervision.

Adam has a number of top youngsters lined up for the 2012 season ranging from SHP, SP, ISH, ISRT, Ridden Hunters, Connemara Ponies in-hand and ridden. …
